Happy Holidays and a Better New Year! I don't mention it in the episode because they're recorded weeks in advance, but still - you've all been super supportive and I appreciate it. Hope you're not bored yet with classic Mega Man. I'm sure not, because this game definitely had the developers still thinking to themselves, "so how do we top the last game?"

"Sequels are better", they say. If that's true, it's because a first game is still trying to figure itself out, and second games can refine and build off what worked and what didn't. And Mega Man 2 might be one of the most beloved sequels of all time. According to some it's all downhill from here, but... is it?

The journey begins with the NES title that unknowingly created a gaming icon. Rather than going into detail this time, I've gone a bit holistic in general here, or something, and finding myself asking an important question: How do podcast publishers come up with tantalizing text commentary each episode? Guess I'll have to figure that one out myself, but figuring out what and why is half the journey we're undertaking here!
